Fashion, Cameroon Style

Our Cameroonian sister, Kibonen Nfi, CEO KiRette Couture©, is really making her mark on the world. She infuses modern styles with the traditional attire of our home land, Cameroon (West Coast Africa).

Here is what Kibonen Nfi has to say about her fashion style:

"The embroidery we use is traditional to the Tikar and Bamileke people that is what the chiefs and royalty wear and the people wear it on special occasions that is the reason why it is offered to special an important people when they are in Cameroon it has been offered to the Pope John Paul II and Stevie Wonders and host of others.  We can custom make any design you want.

"The picture of Mr. Stevie Wonder was taken in the Bamileke Fon (Chief's) palace. We are taking off that embroidery and placing it on more contemporary styles and colours, then we also use African print fabric."

Krista White and Camile Macdonald of America's Next Top Model wore KiRette on BET Rip the Runway Red Carpet.  We are looking forward to seeing great things from our Tikar sister. I look forward to someone asking me what designer clothes I am wearing and I respond with, I wear KiRette Couture!
